By accessing or using Tappy ("the Service"), operated by Tappy ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Tappy is a document platform that connects to external data sources, executes code, and generates data-driven content. The Service includes document creation and editing, data source connections, code execution in sandboxed environments, AI-powered analysis and narrative generation, and document export functionality.
To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.
A detailed list of prohibited activities is maintained in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary, you agree not to:
You retain all rights to the content you create on the Service, including documents, code, queries, and configurations. We do not claim ownership of your content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
When you connect external data sources, you represent that you have authorization to access that data and to allow Tappy to query it on your behalf. You are responsible for complying with any terms of service, data use agreements, or regulations that apply to your connected data.
The Service provides a sandboxed environment for executing Python and SQL code. While we take reasonable measures to isolate code execution, you are solely responsible for the code you write and execute. We are not liable for any consequences arising from code you run on the platform, including unintended data modifications or queries against your connected data sources.
The Service uses AI models to generate narratives, analysis, code suggestions, and other content. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it for business decisions, compliance, or distribution.
The Service allows you to extract structured data from public webpages. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of this feature complies with applicable laws and the terms of service of the websites you extract data from. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of extracted web data.
Frozen document snapshots are immutable records created at your request. Once frozen, the data within a snapshot cannot be refreshed or altered. Frozen snapshots are retained until you explicitly delete them or close your account. While we take reasonable measures to preserve snapshot integrity, we do not guarantee that frozen snapshots satisfy any specific regulatory or legal archival requirements.
The Service is offered on a Free tier and paid subscription plans (e.g., Pro and Pro+). Current plan features, limits, and prices are shown on the /pricing page and may change from time to time. Changes to paid plan prices will not take effect for your current billing period.
Paid plans include a monthly allowance of "credits". Credits are consumed by AI features (such as chat, analysis, narrative generation, code execution, web and API extraction, and exports) at rates published in-product. Credit costs reflect underlying compute, model, and third-party service costs and may be adjusted with reasonable notice. Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next billing period. Top-up credits you purchase separately do roll over until used.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring monthly or annual basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal. If payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the Free tier until payment is resolved.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the in-app billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Credits are not redeemable for cash and have no monetary value outside the Service. Unused purchased credits remain available while your account is active; on account closure they are forfeited.
Prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for paying any such taxes levied on your use of the Service.
The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Tappy and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tappy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your data available for export for 30 days following account closure.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
